A few years ago, my friend Suzie gave me some cuttings of Mexican Petunia. It's thriving in my courtyard area ... maybe a little too much.
Mexican Petunia poses a constant threat of insurrection. It spreads out to the limits, then when it runs out of room it builds a second story, then third. Luckily it's easy to pull out when it gets too thick or confident. Mexican petunia is beautiful, with dark green foliage and a mass of purple flowers. It's worth it.
My wife has the exact same-looking garden between our house and garage as you do!
